StationSentry ("we," "us") provides remote monitoring and alerting for pump and lift stations. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

Alert contact information. Names and mobile phone numbers of personnel designated by a customer's station administrator to receive operational alerts. This information is provided by the customer, not collected from public sources.
Account information. Login credentials and contact details for dashboard users.
Station telemetry. Operational data from monitored equipment (pump activity, alarm states, power status, signal quality, and similar readings). This is equipment data, not personal data.
Service records. Logs of alerts sent, commands received, and delivery outcomes, kept for reliability and auditing.

How we use information

To deliver text-message and dashboard alerts about the equipment you monitor with us;
To operate, secure, and improve the monitoring service;
To respond to support requests.

We do not sell personal information, share it with third parties for their marketing, or send marketing messages to alert contacts. Text messages are operational and emergency notifications only.

Alert messaging & consent

StationSentry uses a double opt-in enrollment process for text alerts:

Step 1: An end user with operational responsibility for a monitored station requests enrollment from their organization's designated station administrator, who enters the user's name and mobile number into the StationSentry dashboard. Phone numbers are provided directly by end users to their own organization; we never purchase, rent, harvest, or obtain numbers from third parties or public sources.
Step 2: StationSentry sends the user a single confirmation message, and the user must reply YES to complete enrollment. No alert messages are sent to any number that has not replied YES. Numbers that do not confirm receive no further messages.

Message frequency varies with equipment activity (typically a few messages per week; more during weather events). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts (processed automatically), or HELP for assistance. Opting out may limit your organization's ability to reach you during equipment emergencies; your station administrator is notified of opt-outs so alerting responsibilities can be reassigned. All messages are operational and safety-related; StationSentry sends no marketing or promotional content.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us deliver the service (such as messaging and hosting providers), under obligations to protect it, and where required by law.

Retention and security

We retain contact and service records while the related customer account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for audit purposes. We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
